John Drover is Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is trained in General Surgery and has subspecialty training Critical Care Medicine. His surgical practice has an elective component that focuses on hernia repair and abdominal wall reconstruction as well as emergency surgery and trauma. His major commitment is to work within the Intensive Care Unit at Kingston General Hospital. As well as his clinical work, he is the current chair of the Critical Care Program as well as Medical Director of the ICU at Kingston General Hospital. He has an interest in nutrition as it relates to both critical care and the surgical patient. He is chair of the Nutrition Support Working Group for Kingston General Hospital.
